Monaco Yacht Show 2023

The Monaco Yacht Show is one of the most prestigious yachting events in the world with more than 125 attending superyachts and around 600 brands exhibiting each year.

Hosted towards the end of September at Port Hercule, Monaco, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is one of the most anticipated events in the annual yachting industry calendar, providing yacht builders, designers, manufacturers, and esteemed brokerage houses the opportunity to network with important clientele and prospective customers.

Scheduled to run from 27-30 September 2023, this edition will continue the successful operation of the badge system introduced in 2021, where visitors to the Monaco event will have the opportunity to view some of the most esteemed yachts on the market and truly make the most of the exclusive VIP environment.

Superyachts At The Monaco Yacht Show

Launching with its inaugural edition in 1991, the Monaco Yacht Show is the ideal occasion to view and compare more than 120 custom superyachts in one place. Typically hosting around 45 yacht debuts throughout the duration of the four-day event, the French Riviera truly comes alive during the event.

As the event that is known for its unrivaled levels of luxury, visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show can expect to see some of the biggest shipyards in the world including Feadship, Sunseeker, Benetti, and Lurssen.

Luxury yacht charters are just as much a part of the show as yachts for sale, allowing opportunities to engage in personal tours around the yachts, meet like-minded yachting enthusiasts, and obtain invaluable information into the must-see charter yachts of the season.

Attractions of the Monaco Yacht Show

Developing with the times and adjusting to the ‘new normal’, the Monaco Yacht Show has seen substantial changes to the attractions and layout over the past few years, with day one of the show becoming dedicated solely to superyacht end users and advisors, with the show open to all visitors from day two.

Additional dedicated VIP areas with waiting lounges have assisted in heightening the new look and feel for the prestige yachting event, along with new sections to create an even more inclusive environment for owners and charter guests.

Offering exclusive programs of talks, demonstrations, and networking socials, there are ample chances to learn from some of the most influential professionals in the yachting industry.

To really get the most out of the show, the Sapphire Experience is the Monaco Yacht Show’s answer to a VIP service, with exclusive lounges, show entrances plus many other perks. The Upper Deck Lounge is also supported by the Sapphire Experience which offers access to an exhibition of exquisite art and watches, plus some of the most elite luxury houses.

Monaco Yacht Show 2023 set to host inaugural Honours gala

Representing a new addition to the Monaco Yacht Show’s format, an exclusive awards ceremony championing the most inspiring individuals within the industry will take place on the eve of this year’s prestigious event.

The Monaco Yacht Show and The Superyacht Life Foundation have teamed up to create an awards ceremony that recognises inspirational people, and celebrates their outstanding contributions in helping to drive the industry forward to a more responsible, sustainable and caring future.

The panel of judges deliberating on this year’s nominees, chaired by Tony Harris, Superyacht Industry Ambassador of Informa Markets, comprised a prestigious line-up of peers from across several sectors of the industry. This includes world-class yacht designer Espen Øino, Burgess’ CEO Jonathan Beckett, Farouk Nefzi, CMO at superyacht builder Feadship, Superyacht Times Founder Merijn de Waard, Jeroen Sirag, Marketing Director at sailing yacht builder Royal Huisman and Francesca Fenucci, CCO at BWA Yachting.

After several hours of judgment, three Honourees – drawn from a whittled down list of more than 360 nominees across the industry – have been selected based on a variety of criteria that highlights their contribution to superyachting.

At the gala event, they will each be presented with a Bowsprit award; a beautiful sculpture showcasing a dark carbon bow set within crystal waves.

”It is very important that people start understanding how impactful in a positive way this industry is and can be”, says Francesca Fenucci. The Honours will bring this to light more and more over the years.
